Have been staying here at the continental inn for a week and a half and have been receiving good service the whole time , smooth check in and receive your room right away love the location near the beach and a lot of things to do near by and such great prices for the night stay definitely recommend staying here if your near the area on vacation. :)
Great location, the pool is a little weird as it's across the street and could use a good scrubbing. The grounds need attention. It's clean but clean out the fountain and put flowers in the baskets. Curb appeal is important. The room was clean and comfortable.
love this hotel, ive stayed here twice and will next time im in santa cruz. in a great spot, close to beach and shops. a lot of hotels in the area are the same prices but this one gets a lot better quality for that
The room was smaller than we expected and what I thought I booked, however, the service was great. The gentleman at the front desk was very nice and saved us a little money explaining prices changed since I booked 2 months prior. The location was great! Many destinations within a few minutes walking or driving. The hotel overall was clean and folks were friendly. Our needs were met. My teenagers loved having a heated pool and hot tub to jump into in the evening hours. The food truck next door was amazing! Good food everywhere we go! Thank you Continental Inn for being gracious hosts and providing a clean space for my family.
While it is a basic inn as far as amenities and layout, I was pleasantly surprised at how clean and nicely appointed the rooms are. It was perfect for my 4-night stay in Santa Cruz, very centrally located - you could easily walk downtown - and an excllent value considering the prices in the area. Staff are very friendly, rooms are cleaned exceptionally well each day, and the rooms are well laid out and well-equipped (even a bathtub!). I think having hardwood (or whatever laminate) rather than carpeting makes it feel classier than it would otherwise. Price was excellent on weeknights (<$100) and only jumped (by a LOT) on Friday and Saturday nights. Nice to have a parking lot and hot tub (which I didn't use). I would definitely stay here again!
